Multinet History

The ‘seed’ to form a club to retain the interest of parents of older multiples was planted over lunch at the AMBA National Convention held at Geelong in 2003.

A number of attending delegates from various states agreed that it would be beneficial to have a group that specifically targeted parents with multiples who were no longer babies. Whilst en-route from Convention to their homes, the founding committee held the inaugural meeting of Multinet in transit and the club was officially ‘conceived’ on 27th October, 2003.

Since formation, Multinet has attracted members from all states as well as ACT and NT. Multinet MBA proudly hosted the 2005 National Convention in Hobart and in 2009 co-hosted the AMBA National Convention in Darwin and the WA State Seminar. Since Multinet’s conception, members have also endeavoured to be part of the various annual AMBA State Seminars.
